Q4 is just around the corner — is your business ready?

The final quarter of the year can bring increased sales, holiday traffic, events, and new opportunities for small businesses. A little preparation now can make a big difference.

Here are 5 ways to get ahead:

Review your numbers — Look at sales, expenses, cash flow, and what’s been working so you can make informed decisions for the months ahead.
Plan your holiday marketing — Start planning promotions, events, gift cards, special offers, and social media content before the holiday rush begins.
Update your online presence — Check your website, Google Business Profile, hours, services, menus, and social media profiles to make sure customers have accurate information.
Prepare your team & inventory — Think ahead about staffing, inventory, vendors, shipping timelines, and customer service needs.
Start planning for 2027 — Review your 2026 accomplishments, identify opportunities, set goals, and begin thinking about next year's budget and priorities.

Did you know Nassau County is home to more than 40 Chambers of Commerce—all working together through the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce?

The NCCC brings together chambers from across Nassau County with one shared mission: to strengthen our local business community through collaboration, advocacy, education, and economic development.

Every month, chamber leaders come together at our General Meetings to exchange ideas, share successes, discuss challenges, and learn about new opportunities that benefit businesses throughout the county. From grant programs and workforce development to tourism initiatives, AI education, legislative updates, and regional partnerships, these meetings help ensure our chambers stay informed and connected.

When chambers work together, everyone benefits. Businesses gain access to expanded networking opportunities, valuable resources, educational programs, and stronger advocacy. Communities benefit from vibrant downtowns, successful local events, thriving small businesses, and a stronger local economy.

Mark your calendars for one of Hicksville's biggest community traditions!

The Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce is proud to support the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce as they present the 23rd Annual Hicksville Street Fair & Foodie Fest!

Join the community for a day filled with shopping, delicious food, family fun, and live entertainment while supporting local businesses and vendors.

Sunday, September 20
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Along Newbridge Road on Nelson Avenue (just south of the LIRR)

Enjoy:
• A huge artisan & vendor bazaar
• Long Island's top food trucks
• A giant kids' fun zone
• Live music & a DJ

There's still time to participate in the Veterans Valor Food Drive & Walk!

The Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce encourages our member chambers, local businesses, and residents to join this meaningful community event on Saturday, August 8, at Eisenhower Park in support of our veterans and their families.

You can make a difference by bringing a non-perishable food donation, participating in the walk, or both. All donations will benefit the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency Food Pantry, helping provide essential support to local veterans in need.

This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, honor those who have served our country, and give back to the heroes who have given so much.

Looking for funding to help your business or community grow?

The Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce encourages our member chambers, small businesses, nonprofits & community organizations to explore the many grants, incentives & business resources available throughout New York.

Organizations offering funding, technical assistance & business support include:

• National Grid – Grants supporting downtown revitalization, business recruitment, manufacturing, CleanTech initiatives & community development.

• PSEG Long Island – Community Thrive grants, energy efficiency incentives, EV infrastructure funding & commercial rebates.

• Empire State Development (ESD) – Grants, loans, tax credits & incentives for business expansion, job creation, tourism & downtown redevelopment.

• NYSERDA – Funding for energy efficiency upgrades, renewable energy projects, sustainability initiatives & electric vehicle programs.

• U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) – Low-interest loans, disaster assistance, entrepreneurial support & federal contracting resources.

• USDA Rural Development – Grants & financing for eligible rural businesses, infrastructure, renewable energy & community projects.

• Nassau County & New York State – Economic development programs, workforce training grants, tourism funding & small business assistance opportunities.

The Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce is excited to partner with the Long Island Hospitality Association for a fun-filled Summer Networking Event!
