as archaeological conservation and preservation research efforts in the Gulf of California. It also seeks to leverage the latest in technological advancements and innovation in order to promote and support baja eco-sustainability, capacity building, clean, renewable energy use, as well as responsible submerged cultural and natural resource management practices. We host affordable campground sites located just 4 miles south of a world renowned marine preserve, Cabo Pulmo National Park, in the community of Boca Del Salado, and invite you to take part in our unique and exciting citizen science activities starting in December of 2024. They include: supporting diving expeditions in Baja, Mexico that involve documenting historic shipwrecks, coral reef habitats and other various marine science research based endeavors. Hello Everyone! Please consider joining this course in Cave / Cenote diving where you will get exposure to traditional recording methods for the documentation of submerged Mayan sites as well as exposure to cutting edge recording techniques in maritime archaeology, including underwater laser scanning and photogrammetry!

La Nautical Archaeological Society / NAS - México convoca al Curso de Arqueología Subacuática NAS/TDI en Cenotes y Cuevas de la península de Yucatán, México.

Dirigido a cualquier persona interesada en el conocimiento del patrimonio arqueológico y paleontológico que yace inmerso en los cenotes y cuevas de la península de Yucatán.

Abarca temas como la metodología y técnicas de registro, exploración sistemática, fotogrametria, scanner laser, cartografía, interpretación, conservación y protección.

El curso se llevará a cabo en la Riviera Maya, Quintana Roo, México, del 15 al 25 de junio de 2024.

Happy Earth Day everyone!

As part of the launch of the new Gulf of California Maritime Sustainability Initiative I will be trying to post at least on a weekly basis, detailing progress on the development of our organization, including course and maritime activity offerings as they become available in Baja Sur.
