📣 Garden City parents — join us for Parenting in Today’s World, a virtual parent roundtable focused on the challenges families are navigating today.

On Thursday, October 22 from 12–1 PM, Garden City Public Schools, in partnership with Long Island Counseling, will lead a meaningful conversation featuring practical strategies and shared ideas on topics including anxiety and resilience, building independence, technology and social media, friendships, and managing big feelings and challenging behavior.

It’s time for our first All Schools PTA Meeting of the school year!

Join us Wednesday, October 21 at 7:30 PM at the Garden City Middle School Cafeteria or via Zoom. We’ll hear important school year updates from administration, get the latest from our PTA committees, and hold general membership votes on the final 2026–27 PTA Budget and District grant requests. Details on the upcoming votes can be found through the link in our bio!

We’re also excited to welcome two special presentations:

📚 Monica Garguilo, founder of MasterMinds Homework Help, will share practical strategies to help families reduce the stress of after-school homework at all ages.

🤝 Dr. Bonnie Schwartz and Dr. Jiyon Kim from NYU Langone’s Child Study Center on Long Island will introduce the PEERS Social Skills Program, share information about additional services and groups available through their office, and offer tips for helping children build skills for making and keeping friends.

As promised, we’re sharing a few more of our beautiful buildings all dressed up for autumn! This time, Stratford, Hemlock and Locust are showing off their fall spirit with plenty of festive touches welcoming students each day. 🎃🍁

A big thank you to all of the families who contributed their time, creativity and decorations to make our schools look so beautiful this season. We are so grateful for our amazing community! 🧡
