ES: La Fiscalía Federal anunció que 104 personas fueron detenidas durante la redada realizada en septiembre en nuestras comunidades del suroeste de Kansas. Eso significa docenas de familias separadas, padres que no están en sus hogares con sus hijos y personas a quienes, con ORGULLO, llamamos nuestra familia, amigos y vecinos. ¿Cuál es tu «motivo» este noviembre? ¡Envíanos un mensaje directo con tu foto y un par de frases explicando por qué vas a votar este año! EN: The US Attorney Office announced 104 people were detained in the Southwest Kansas September sweep of our communities. That’s dozens of families separated, parents who aren’t in their homes with their children, and people we PROUDLY call our family, friends, and neighbors. What’s your “why” this November? ES: Los voluntarios han revisado los informes de dos grandes autobuses en Liberal. Personas de respuesta rapida han confirmado que estos NO son autobuse de ICE. Los autobuses reportados son autobuses de transporte público, no vehículos utilizados para el transporte de larga distancia.

EN: Volunteers have reviewed reports of two large buses in Liberal. Rapid responders have confirmed these are NOT ICE detainee buses. The buses reported are public transit buses, not vehicles used for long-distance transport.

ES: Sabemos que todavía hay mucho miedo e incertidumbre en toda nuestra región. Lo sentimos junto con ustedes. Las calles no están tan llenas como deberían estarlo para un sábado por la noche y muchos de nuestros vecinos siguen teniendo demasiado miedo para salir de sus casas (y con razón). Lo que vimos esta semana fue horrible, no hay que disfrazarlo. Al mismo tiempo, hay que tener cuidado de reportar información precisa con el mayor detalle posible. Necesitamos ojos en las calles, sigan haciéndolo. Pero tomen fotos, compartan información sobre las calles, en qué dirección se dirigen y cualquier otra cosa que les parezca sospechosa. El trabajo de nuestro equipo de respuesta rápida es ayudar a verificar la información para ustedes, pero no podemos seguir persiguiendo fantasmas. Así que, por favor, ayuden a su comunidad y ayúdennos a nosotros al incluir fotos en sus reportes.

EN: We know there’s still a lot of lingering fear and uncertainty across our region. We feel it with you. The streets aren’t as busy as they should be for a Saturday night and many of our neighbors are still too afraid to come out of their homes (and for good reason). What we saw this week was horrible, no sugarcoating it. At the same time, let’s make sure we are reporting out accurate information with as much detail as possible. We need eyes on the streets, keep doing that. But take pictures, share street information, what direction they’re heading, and anything else that gives you suspicion. Our rapid response team’s job is to help verify information for you but we cannot keep going around chasing ghosts. So please, help out your community and help us out by including pictures with your reports.

Sometimes erratic driving by a car with really tinted windows is just a bad driver. We can tell you quickly whether a vehicle is ICE or not WITH pictures. Thank you for your continued trust and support!
