WISH would like to thank Angie Gillam for her awesome Quarter Craze event whose proceeds went towards the shelter and care of pets of victims of domestic violence. We all loved Jennifer Bushnell so much and it was fantastic to see the whole community show up to honor her and Angie's vision of animal care and kindness going forward. We also really appreciated all the generous donations given to our local shelter and the wonderful support for all the good work done by Humboldt Domestic Violence Services in the Eureka area!

For those of you who have followed our last two turbulent years and shared both the joy and the tears of trying to run a well used non profit without any funding, I have wonderful news to share. We have received a grant from the FESG ( Federal Emergency Shelter Grant) that will allow us to run for an entire year and help us get back on our feet once again. Thanks to all who prayed and gave so generously, we wouldn't have made it without you!

A huge thanks to all those who attended, donated or helped WISH with our "Good Stuff Sale". Between this and the Redwood Run we are getting closer to being able to keep our doors open for another month, which makes us VERY happy! This community rocks!

We leave you with one final thought- in the dark of the night, when danger comes, wouldn't you be happy knowing that there was a safe place to run to? Please help WISH help others and help ourselves, this will be our 20th year and we hope to celebrate it by saying that we are back on our feet again, thanks to the awesome power of love and prayer in this community!
