Be careful while driving on 101 in Gamaliel. The road is periodically down to one way in spots due to road construction from the bridge to the Missouri border.

AND THE SURVEY SAYS: Let’s talk about burn bans. Did you know that in Baxter County the judge is the one with the power to issue burn bans? Some municipalities may do that as well. The Gamaliel Fire Department, however, may not issue a burn ban. We can only inform the public to be extremely cautious in dry conditions. Burn ban notices are posted in 4 places in our fire protection district along Highway 101, plus this page. You may always go and look for the information on the internet if unsure. Join us for a Spaghetti Supper on Sunday, June 14, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Gamaliel Volunteer Fire Department Station #1!

This community meal is being hosted by the Fire Department Auxiliary in support of the Gamaliel Volunteer Fire Department. Enjoy delicious spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert, and drinks while visiting with your neighbors and local firefighters.

Admission is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated and will help support your volunteer fire department.

We look forward to seeing you there and thank you for supporting the volunteers who help keep our community safe!

Happy Memory Monday! The 101 Gamaliel Volunteer Fire Department partnered with the Rodney-Jordan Volunteer Fire Department this past weekend at the 17th annual Arkansas Fire Boat School training at DeGray Lake. (You may have seen some photos 😊). I decided to give a final shout out to our old Marine 1 at Fire Boat school years ago. This year is ushering in a Marine partnership on Lake Norfork with several departments working together to make our lake a safe place for the community and our visitors. Neighbors Helping Neighbors. This is why we do what we do!!
