We are incredibly grateful to The Guild Shop for their generous support of St. Vincent’s House and the Galveston Diaper Bank! 💙🧡

Their support helps us provide seniors in our community with the essentials they need and the dignity they deserve, including access to personal-care and incontinence supplies.

Sometimes the most meaningful help comes in the most delicate forms.

As we age, we gain wisdom—and we also learn that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.

St. Vincent’s House in Galveston has reminded us of just how important everyday personal-care necessities are for older adults, and how easily these essential items can be overlooked or out of reach.

We’re proud to provide a grant to St. Vincent’s House in support of the Galveston Diaper Bank, helping ensure that seniors have access to the dignity, comfort, and essentials they deserve.
Small acts of support can make a world of difference. Thank you St. Vincent’s House for your hope!

Our team had a great time celebrating the grand re-opening of Goodwill’s Galveston Career Center! 🎉

Nina, our Case Management Services Program Director, and Mariana, our Workforce Development Coordinator & Case Manager, had the opportunity to connect with community partners working to expand career opportunities across Galveston.

At St. Vincent’s House, helping neighbors and families move toward greater stability includes connecting them with resources and opportunities that support their goals, including employment and career development.

Congratulations to Goodwill Houston on the grand re-opening!

We enjoyed welcoming some new faces from the Family Service Center team to St. Vincent’s House for a tour and meet & greet! 💙

FSC has been an important partner in helping connect our families and neighbors with mental health services and support, and we are so grateful to have their team alongside us at St. Vincent’s House.

We look forward to all that is ahead as we continue working together to support and serve our community!

Thank you, Prestige Custom Builders LLC- Galveston, for helping local students start the school year strong! 🎒📚

Your generous donation of school supplies helps make sure students in our community have the tools they need to succeed. We are so grateful for your support!

A strong community is built on supporting one another through every season—including back-to-school time.

Equipping students with the right tools isn't just about pencils and notebooks; it’s about giving them the confidence to learn and succeed. Knowing how challenging this time of year can be for families, we feel incredibly fortunate to support St. Vincent's House in providing school supplies for Galveston students.

Doing business in Galveston is a privilege, and being able to lend a hand to our neighbors is something we never take for granted. Here’s to a great school year for all our local students! 🌟

Thank you to the wonderful volunteers from Hope Presbyterian Church of New Braunfels for making the trip to Galveston to serve with us!

For 3 days, this incredible group of students jumped in wherever they were needed - helping in our Extended Food & Hygiene Pantry, giving our outdoor artwork a fresh new look, and making a real difference for St. Vincent’s House and the families we serve! We are so grateful for their time, hard work, and servant hearts.

Thank you all for being such a blessing to our community. We HOPE to see you again soon!

It is with heavy hearts that the St. Vincent's House family mourns the loss of our dear friend and devoted volunteer, Mary Kapner.

Mary gave so much of herself to others, and we are deeply honored that she chose to serve alongside us. Her kindness, faith, and servant's heart touched countless lives in our community and reflected the love of Jesus every day.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mary's family and loved ones during this difficult time. Mary will be deeply missed by all of us at St. Vincent's House, and we find comfort in knowing she is now home with Jesus. ❤️🕊

Mary Kapner, 76, of Galveston, passed away on July 31, 2026 peacefully at home after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Mary was born in Dallas, Texas, to Jay Lynn and Erma Skaggs on March 23, 1950. She attended Baylor University, where she earned a Masters of Science in Speech
