Yesterday was truly a special day as we awarded grants to our 2026 beneficiaries! All of the hard work that goes into the cook-off, fundraisers, and volunteering leads to this moment. Thanks to all that help improve the lives of children in Galveston County!

The Yaga's Children's Fund annual Wild Game & BBQ Cookoff took place on Saturday, May 9th. Bay Area Service League volunteers did an outstanding job representing the organization, taking on a wide range of roles. They judged several competition categories, including the adult libations division, helped assemble and contribute to Silent Auction baskets, and supported other event operations. Thanks to their dedication, the event was successful and well supported.

Bay Area Service League appreciates its long partnership with Yaga’s Children’s Fund. Their ongoing financial support helps the philanthropic programs grow, and this teamwork shows a shared commitment to improving the lives of children and families in Galveston County.
