The Yaga's Children's Fund annual Wild Game & BBQ Cookoff took place on Saturday, May 9th. Bay Area Service League volunteers did an outstanding job representing the organization, taking on a wide range of roles. They judged several competition categories, including the adult libations division, helped assemble and contribute to Silent Auction baskets, and supported other event operations. Thanks to their dedication, the event was successful and well supported.

Bay Area Service League appreciates its long partnership with Yaga’s Children’s Fund. Their ongoing financial support helps the philanthropic programs grow, and this teamwork shows a shared commitment to improving the lives of children and families in Galveston County.

It’s finally here! The 30th annual 2026 Wild Game and BBQ Cook-Off is happening THIS WEEKEND at Moody Gardens

Join us Friday night for the Friday Night Fundraiser at 7:00 PM (ticket required), then come back Saturday for a FREE full day of family fun. The event features the 5K Fun Run, silent auction, live entertainment, and more.

The Kids Area opens at 9:00 AM on Saturday, so bring the whole family out and enjoy the day with us.

Every dollar raised helps support children’s charities across Galveston County.

Free family fun is back at the YCF Wild Game and BBQ Cook-Off.
Our Kids Area is free and packed with fun, including a petting zoo, bounce houses, face painting, and more. Water is provided, and your family helps us celebrate our 30th year at Moody Gardens just by showing up and being part of the weekend.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the YCF VietCajun Crawfish Boil Fundraiser at Beerfoot Craft & Draft. We are grateful for every plate purchased, every ticket sold, and every person who showed up to be part of it.
