GISD Educational Foundation

GISD Educational Foundation The foundation acknowledges the strong correlation between the quality of life in Galveston and the quality of the community’s educational system.

The Galveston ISD Educational Foundation's mission is to enrich the educational experience and prepare our students for the future by providing financial assistance to educators, schools and students. The Galveston ISD Educational Foundation, Inc., an independent, non-profit corporation promoting quality education in Galveston Independent School District (GISD) schools, was established in 2002. Fu

rthermore, it is believed an investment in Galveston’s young people is a sound investment in the future of the community. Faced with the economic reality of a district whose tax base is not expanding and a district whose students come from predominantly low income families, the board of the GISD Educational Foundation determined it must bring private philanthropy to bear on public education in Galveston. The foundation funds educational projects that address needs not within the budget of the district or for which tax dollars cannot be expended. The board of the foundation, as well as its many volunteers, comes from all sectors of the Galveston community. The common denominator among these individuals is their commitment to support and enhance the quality of education for all Galveston’s public school children.

If they haven't already, PCI (Publishing Concepts) will be contacting you by email, mail, and phone with a request to participate in updating alumni records. We are excited about this project and encourage you to take part in these discussions as we work with the district to create an official BHS Alumni Association!

Alumni who did not receive a postcard or email can call: 1-800-488-5395

Is this legit? The answer is YES!

For the third time in GEF history, we’ve partnered with PCI, a trusted company helping us update alumni contact information and reconnect with graduates across the years. Alumni may receive a postcard or email, asking you to call to verify and update information.

As GISD works towards building an official BHS Alumni Association, this project will help us create a stronger alumni network, celebrate our graduates, and offer future opportunities for engagement and support. Thank you for helping us reconnect the Ball High and GISD family!
