Dash Gordon did it AGAIN! Day 2 in the books for RMHG & the Houston Astros. Today, we were able to bring the children of the House that had surgeries yesterday, who thought they’d missed their chance. It felt like Christmas morning, telling them where they’d be heading today. The excitement on their faces is something we live for around here and it’s contagious! It’s our WHY. To make every day feel like Christmas morning is the goal & something we strive for when we walk through the doors each day. Dash Gordon, you made it possible in big ways this week & you’ll never know how grateful we all are for this gift.

It's Wish List Wednesday!😘
Please take a look at our amazon wish list! We are always in need of fresh fruits and veggies, eggs, milk, juice boxes, cooking oil, rice, beans, disinfectant cleaners, laundry soap, water bottles and Kool aide or lemonade powder. Our amazon wish list is heavy on snacks and hygiene items due to our Cheer Cart being a hit in the house. When the families leave to go to the doctor, they can grab a snack and something to keep them busy during the day from the Cheer Cart. Families can be at their appointment hours on end so snacks and things to keep your mind busy is a necessity. We also use these item from the Cheer Cart when they start their long journey back home. Most take the bus and the travel time can be a few days long. Having wipes and other hygiene items are needed.
We are also in need of car seats and booster seats, if you happen to have one your child has outgrown and its still in good working condition please donate it to the Ronald McDonald House Galveston.

Thanks to Dash Gordon for making dreams come true tonight! After seeing our post regarding Father’s Day donations, he immediately called to offer our families 20+ tickets to tonight’s Astros game, and even more for tomorrow’s afternoon game! Say WHAT?!?! 💙🧡

We rallied the staff, packed some goody bags, filled up both vehicles & were able to give 22 of our guests (along with another 17 tomorrow) the experience of a LIFETIME. Dash Gordon, you have no idea the impact you’ve made. Thank you is not enough. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Happy Monday, RMHG supporters! We have many daddies staying with us at RMHG and are beginning to collect items for Father’s Day gifts. If you have any unopened cologne bottles, men’s toiletries, shaving kits, or other items for our deserving daddies, please consider donating to RMHG! We can pick up from you if you are in the area or purchase on your behalf as well. You all made such a lasting impact for the moms, we’d love to do just as much for our fathers All of the dads of RMHG are considered “House Dads,” as they each contribute to our needs- heavy lifting, hauling, exchanging of beds, donation acceptance, etc.. This day was truly unforgettable as we finalized the week with Captain Ben's visit from Baywatch Dolphin Tours. His presentation was informative and captivating. The children, who have been studying dolphins all week, reciprocated with their own presentation and gifted Captain Ben and his crew with exceptional artwork. The highlight of the event was the announcement of an exclusive tour invitation for the children next week, which sparked considerable excitement.❤️💛❤️

Birthdays offer a chance to celebrate life's journey alongside loved ones. Sometimes, distance separates families from their support networks during these special moments. Today marked a significant occasion as we celebrated Roberto's 50th birthday. Since February, Roberto and his son Brayan have been with us for treatment. Learning that pork chops, beans, and rice were his preferred meal, our dedicated staff - Lonnie, Monica, and Linda - came together to create an unforgettable lunch. Roberto's heartfelt admission that he had never before experienced a birthday celebration in his honor moved everyone to tears, reinforcing the value of making our home a haven for our families. ❤️💛❤️
