Somehow my son's phone number got onto a list for ass-clowns selling Medicare Advantage policies. My son is 28. All day his phone is blowing up. It would be funny if it wasn't so annoying.

Day 10:
Landlord says the power to my apartment should be re-connected some time today. I'll go back down tonight to check it out and if it's good I'll spend one more night in Clear Lake before gathering my son and our stuff and going home at last.

Day 6:
There's power in the neighborhood, and power to my building, but no power to the apartents therein. I don't now what needs to happen to get my power restored. Nobody at the property manager's office. This is completely maddening.

Thank God I can hole up at my Step-mom's house, which has had power since Day 2.

Unfortunately whereas I can bring my laptop here, moving my graphic workstation is a much bigger deal. If I don't have power to my place by Monday, I might bring it over.

Garbage truck knocked down a power or Internet cable next to my apartment building. Fortunately we weren't affected but somebody's day has been ruined.
