CONTINUING IN FAITH …THE OPENING OF AN ANGELS FOUNDATION. Christina Sullivan was born January 9,1982 she was seven pounds seven ounces and nineteen inches in length. What was to be a normal delivery for her mother Josephine turned into an Emergency C-Section leaving Christina severely brain damaged at birth. It took 7 minutes to resuscitate the beautiful, but lifeless baby girl. Her diagnose Stat

ic Encephalopathy, Severe Brain Damage, Cerebral Palsy, Seizure Disorder, Respiratory Compromised. As years went by a Gastric feeding tube was inserted, a Tumor in left Tibia was discovered, and with being Non Ambulatory a Dislocated Hip formed, as well as Scoliosis and Spastic Quadriplegia. Even though she could not speak, she said volumes in what she taught each and every person who knew of her or had the blessing to be with her. Join us on a journey of compassion and connection... You are part of a larger community that cares deeply for one another.
Welcome to the Christina Sullivan Foundation's monthly caregiver support group meetings, where we come together both virtually and in person to share experiences, resources, and support as parents, caregivers, and guardians navigating the unique challenges of raising a loved one with different abilities.

Our support group explores a range of topics, offering valuable resources, emotional support, and a sense of belonging for families facing caregiving challenges head-on.

DATE: Wednesday, May 27th (Meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of every month).
TIME: 6:30 pm to 8 pm. MEETING ADDRESS: Christina Sullivan Foundation, Shearn Moody Plaza, 123 25th Street, Suite 2017, Galveston, Texas 77550.

Meeting Agenda: - Welcome - Mission Statement & Goals - Check-in, introduction of members, and who they care for.

Vision: To empower caregivers with resources, support, and advocacy, enhancing the quality of life for all those affected by caregiving concerns.

Mission Statement: To forge a supportive community where parents, caregivers, and guardians can connect, share experiences, and access resources to navigate caregiving challenges, empowering them to improve their well-being and the quality of life for those they care for.

Goals: - Reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness - Enhance coping skills and stress management strategies - Promote self-care practices - Increase awareness of available resources and support services - Improve communication and understanding among caregivers - Foster a sense of community and belonging - Advocate for caregivers and care recipients - Support caregivers in setting realistic goals for their journey.
