🌿💙 We had such a great time at the Back Garden Tour hanging out with fellow organizations, community members, and friends who all share the same goal — keeping Galveston beautiful and protecting the beaches and ocean we love. 🌊

We met so many new faces and had some awesome conversations about our Ocean Friendly Gardens (OFG) program and the small changes we can make at home to create a healthier coast. 🌱

Huge thank you to Clean Galveston for all they do for our island and to our amazing volunteers who helped make the day possible. We couldn’t do it without y’all! ✨

🌊🎶 We may be a little late posting, but we’re still riding the good vibes from La Izquierda Surf and Music Festival last weekend 💙

Another incredible La Izquierda in the books! Even sideways rain couldn’t stop the party 🤘 Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth to talk about protecting the beaches and ocean we all love.

And to our AMAZING volunteers — gigantic heart emojis to all y’all. 🫶 We truly couldn’t do this without you.

Special shoutout to Michael & MJ for providing a water bottle refill station 💧 and to Galveston Island Brewing for choosing canned water over plastic bottles this year 👏♻️ It takes all of us making small changes to create a cleaner coast.

🌊✨ Join us for our May 14th Chapter Get Together!

We’re excited to welcome LTJG Desda Sisson, NOAA Corps Officer and Vessel Operations Coordinator for Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. 🚢🐠

Desda oversees operations for the sanctuary vessel R/V MANTA and brings a background in Marine Biology & Scientific Diving from Cal Poly Humboldt. Her love for the ocean started during summers spent exploring the northern California coast—and now she works every day to help protect it. 💙

We’ll also have updates on our Hold On To Your Butt and Ocean Friendly Gardens programs, plus hands-on activities! 🌱🚭

We’re excited to team up with Jack Johnson as an All At Once nonprofit partner on his 2026 Summer Tour! 🌊🎶

Come see us at the Village Green at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on August 28 to connect, learn, and take action with us. Through All At Once, we’re joining a powerful network advancing plastic-free initiatives, healthy watersheds, sustainable food systems, and community action.

We’ll be cleaning up the block during golden hour, so grab a bag, stretch your legs, and help keep trash out of our ocean. Then head back to Float to hang with the crew and enjoy food & drink specials for volunteers 🍻
