It is with profound sadness that the Galveston West Beach Lions Club shares the sudden passing of our dear friend and fellow Lion, Larry Highley.

Larry was a dedicated and selfless President of our club, leading with humility, integrity, and a true heart for service. His commitment to the Lions motto, “We Serve,” was evident in everything he did. He gave generously of his time, supported every project with enthusiasm, and always put the needs of others before his own.

Larry was a beloved and cherished staple in our community and within our Lions family. His leadership strengthened our club, and his kindness and steady presence touched countless lives. The impact he made through his service will continue to be felt for years to come.

Larry will be deeply missed, but his legacy of service and compassion will forever remain a part of the Galveston West Beach Lions Club.

Galveston West Beach Lions Club continues to help the Texas Flood 2025 victims. These disaster victims are finished with the rescue and recovery phase. They are beginning to restore and rebuild.
TEXAS FLOOD VICTIMS - THEY STILL NEED OUR HELP!!!!
Our club will match cash donations to the San Angelo communitie for up to $1000.00. Please message me to let you know where to send your donations. We would love to give $2000.00 to the overlooked San Angelo community-going directly to victims.

A great luncheon championing those who promote literacy by giving time in schools and hospitals to read to and with children.
28% of the population are children but they are 100% of the future. Reading helps each child reach their greatest potential.
Thanks to these friends for joining the morning.

Galveston West Beach Lions Cathy, Norma, and Sally make a shopping trip to Walmart and delivery of items to the UTMB Hospital Care Closet where patients and family members can get needed items when the stay has been too long and difficult.
