The weather may be gloomy but the birds are everywhere! We had an impromptu birding session to teach our GINTC Intern the joy of birding. Just in our downtown office parking lot we saw American Redstarts, Bay-breasted Warblers, Barn Swallows, Black-and-white Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warblers, Common Yellowthroat, Eastern Wood Pewees, House Sparrow, Laughing Gulls, Magnolia Warblers, Tennessee Warbler, White-eyed Vireo!

📣Lights Out Texas! Check out this real-time analysis map of nocturnal bird migration from last night. US weather surveillance is able to capture not only weather but other air activity, including animals. Tonight through the 8th a Lights Out is being advised by BirdCast. Please turn off outside non-essential lights at homes and businesses to help keep birds on the correct path.
