Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944 — a day forever known as D-Day.
More than 150,000 Allied troops took part in one of the largest military operations in history during World War II. Facing unimaginable danger, these courageous soldiers fought to begin the liberation of Europe from tyranny and oppression. Many never made it home, while countless others carried the memories of that day for the rest of their lives.
D-Day was more than a military victory — it was a turning point in history and a powerful reminder of the price of freedom. The sacrifices made by the “Greatest Generation” continue to inspire us today.
As we commemorate this anniversary, let us never forget the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering determination of those who served. We honor the heroes who gave so much so future generations could live in freedom.
