The City of Gallup was just informed by the Great Race that our community was voted "Best Lunch Stop" for the 2026 Centennial Race. We were one stop among many across Route 66 from Illinois to California. On behalf of the City, we appreciate everyone who participated and contributed to this wonderful event, held June 25 in America's Most Patriotic Small Town.

If you watched everyone drive 90 miles an hour past a police officer who smiled and waved, you’d get the message that speeding is fine.

This is exactly what cities are telling property owners when they don’t enforce maintenance codes.

Green light. Do whatever you want. Nobody cares.

And then everyone acts surprised when nobody invests.
