The Gallup American Legion Post 8 will be conducting our monthly meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, at 6:00 PM at the old Gallup Courthouse.

The U.S. Small Business Administration is hosting a FREE 2-day Boots to Business Reboot training for veterans and military spouses — and all experience levels are welcome.

🇺🇸 American Legion Post 8 Attends the Mexican Springs Veterans Thanksgiving Luncheon 🇺🇸

Today, members of American Legion Post 8 had the honor of attending the Mexican Springs Veterans Organization Thanksgiving Luncheon. It was a beautiful gathering filled with gratitude, community, and reflection.

Commander Danny Unale delivered the invocation, offering a heartfelt prayer that set a warm and uplifting tone for the event. His words reminded us of the strength, resilience, and unity shared among all veterans and their families.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Mexican Springs Veterans Organization for inviting us and for putting together such a meaningful celebration. Moments like these strengthen our bonds as veterans, community members, and brothers and sisters in service.

From all of us at Post 8, we wish everyone a blessed and happy Thanksgiving season. 🦃🇺🇸

🇺🇸 American Legion Post 8 at the City of Gallup Veterans Day Parade 🇺🇸

Today, members of American Legion Post 8 proudly joined the City of Gallup Veterans Day Parade to honor all who have served our nation.

Commander Danny Unale and another Post 8 member teamed up with the Red Rock Young Marines to represent our veterans and inspire the next generation of service-minded youth. Together, they carried the colors with pride and reminded the community that the bond between veterans and future leaders remains strong.

We thank the City of Gallup, the Young Marines, and everyone who came out to line the streets, wave flags, and show their appreciation. 🇺🇸

To all veterans — thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your continued dedication to our country.

🇺🇸 When a Veteran Needs Help, We Answer. 🇺🇸

Recently, Post 8 was contacted by the daughter of an 80-year-old veteran living near Gallup. Her father — a proud veteran — was in need of help with his home and didn’t know where to turn.

Within minutes, our team provided her with resources and direct contacts for veteran housing and repair assistance programs throughout New Mexico.

This is what the American Legion stands for: being there when our veterans and their families need support the most. Whether it’s connecting them to vital services or lending a hand directly, we remain committed to serving those who once served us.
