That’s a wrap! The groom and clean is complete. Time for clean up and working on the submission pictures. These kids did amazing! This is just one of the 8 state horse events.

Miss Gallia County Abby Vansickle came to visit the kids participating in the 2020 State Groom and Clean virtual event. The kids took her a tour of their horses, what they were doing and how it all worked. They invited her to their State Trail Ride event next Sunday at AEP recreational grounds in Meigs Co.

Members of the Gallia County Groom & Clean teams practicing tonight. Groom & Clean is the one of the final events in the Ohio State Horse Program’s Great 8 events. These members will do their remote/blended competition on Sept 5. They will muddy up horses, let dry and then get 30 minutes to clean them as best possible in teams of 3.

We have been notified that the starting time for tomorrow's show is being moved to at least 10.

The judge is on board with this change and wants to do whatever is necessary to make the show go forward.

The Fair Board is currently working on a parking plan and will let us know the details when they are finalized.

Per the Fairboard:
For those that are hauling in on Wednesday we can come in after 6pm. You MUST enter through gate 1 by the extension office. We can not go past the back of the horse barn. We MUST exit gate 1 to park trailer in the field by Shake Shop. The lamb show will be going on so we can not have vehicles at the front of the horse barn. They also wanted me to remind everyone that there is a 10pm curfew during the fair.
There is also more rain predicted on Tuesday so a final decision to cancel if needed will be Wednesday afternoon. Please watch for updates.
