Proud of our very own member, Shana Allie Vore, for being part of this great group! Thank you to Holzer for offering this service for our local student athletes.

Our team recently visited River Valley High School as part of our ongoing commitment to providing free sports physicals for students across our region! Thank you to our dedicated staff for making these events possible and for their continued support of student health and wellness.

More Good Days, Together 🎗️

Mental health isn't just about how we handle the hard days; it’s about the intentional steps we take to create more good days for ourselves and our neighbors. Taking care of your mental well-being is a vital part of staying strong for your family, your work, and your community.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to share 10 simple ways to prioritize your wellness this May:

🪴 Connect with Nature: Whether you are tending a garden or planting flowers, getting outside can provide much-needed peace.

📗 Practice Gratitude: Take a moment each day to write in a gratitude journal.

🤝 Give Back: Support a cause that matters to you through volunteering.

🔋Unplug & Recharge: Take a mental break when you feel overwhelmed and practice pacing yourself—it’s okay to not overcommit.

🎣 Nurture Your Hobbies: Make time for mindful recreation, whether that’s quilting, painting, or reading a great mystery.

💧Stay Balanced: Don't forget the basics, like a quick hydration check to keep your physical and mental energy up.

Remember: You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.

💚 Reach out if you need support:
988 Lifeline: Call, text, or chat 24/7 for any emotional distress or crisis.

💚 Local Support: Contact the ADAMHS Board (740-446-3022) or Integrated Services in Gallipolis (740-702-2637).

How are you prioritizing your mental health today?

We are late in sharing, but hopefully some of you saw our blue pinwheel garden for April's National Child Abuse Prevention Month!

These pinwheels are intended to be a beautiful, eye-catching way to grab attention and remind us all to be aware of signs of abuse and to be advocates for children in any way we can. This can include speaking up and reporting issues, reaching out to a child in need and offering support and guidance, donating to organizations that provide food to children with food insecurity, supporting legislation that will provide benefits to organizations who do this type of work, and so much more.

The number provided on our sign is the Ohio hotline number to report suspected abuse or neglect, so it can be used anywhere in Ohio.
