Loving Our Neighbors

Every Wednesday morning a small group meets at the corner of Dorothy Jordan and West Eastland to hand out free hot meals and hygiene products.

Kim Kamber Liles heads up the “Blessing Mobile” and she provides things like diapers,wipes,deodorant,and other hygiene products to those in need.

Here at The Sumner Center we keep stock of these items for Kim to come pick up for distribution but we are also open for walk-ins if you need items like the ones mentioned above.

We are thankful for folks like Kim who go out into those communities to provide these products to those in need.

Small actions like these help people feel seen and heard.

If you’d like to donate to our Hygiene Pantry we will gladly accept new unopened items to meet the need here at our Sumner Center office.

We loved having the Northfield Students from NorthField Church come out last Saturday and serve in our food pantry.

Students packed food boxes and then helped distribute boxes to those in need right here in Gallatin!

Every 4th Saturday of the month we give out over 8,000 lbs of food including frozen meat and bakery treats!

We are proud to host those who have a heart to serve others!

Food Giveaway is GO!

We’ve been working hard at clearing ice from the loading area so we can get pallets out.

It will definitely be cold but we are going to proceed with the plan of handing out around 7,000 lbs of food tomorrow morning.

We are a week late but we want to try and get back on schedule!

And now is definitely not the time to go without food.

We will see you in the morning at the corner of West Eastland and Dorothy Jordan!

Generally, we have our food box distribution every 4th Saturday.

That’s tomorrow!

Just to be safe, we are going to postpone our distribution day to NEXT Saturday the 31st.

Be safe out there!

We had a great crew help us load,transport, and deliver over 50 kids gifts to Benny Bills Elementary School this morning!

We could not have done this without our NorthField Church family! Thank you so much for leaning into the season’s spirit of GIVING!

The FIRST Free Dental Day of 2026 is January 17!

Hope Smiles will be joining us to serve the Sumner County Community and we are pumped!

Arrive early and dress for cool weather!

We will be making arrangements to get people inside as soon as possible!

As many of you know, we are coming up on a situation where it may become difficult for some families to get food.

With the government shutdown continuing to be an issue, it seems that benefits like SNAP will likely be suspended for this coming month.

The Sumner Center at Northfield Church is here to answer that call to serve God’s people.

We want to encourage you in that we will be here for you if you are in need.

Our staff and volunteers are prepared to do whatever is necessary to meet this need for Sumner County.

If you would like to support our efforts here, you can go to thesumnercenter.com and have preferred food items shipped directly from our Amazon Wish List.

Remember in times like this, God calls us to be obedient in his word. He commands us to serve those in need. Regardless of personal opinions or convictions.

And we are here to do that very thing at The Sumner Center..
