Gallatin Shalom Zone Nonprofit, providing life changing programs, resources, and education to children, youth, adults, & families.

Gallatin Shalom Zone is a fully operational 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, providing life enriching programs, education, and opportunities that promote wholeness and peace for a beautiful, livable community. We operate programs that serve children, youth, and families:
After School Enrichment Program
Street Feed
Summer Enrichment Camp
Urban Leadership Experience
BotBall Coding and Robotics
Hygiene Pantry
Adult Education
English as a Second Language. Gallatin Shalom Zone also offers a Community Library, Computer Lab, public space, and recurring special events, including Community Saturdays and Toys for Tots. We provide a safe and loving environment, where children, youth, and families can follow the pathway out of poverty, reach their potential, and gain an understanding of a better future. We depend on the following sources for our operational budget:

With guidance from Ms. Brooke with Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center, our After School students have been putting their imaginations to work through painting, coloring, and creating their own one-of-a-kind masterpieces. We love giving our students the space to express themselves, try something new, and most importantly, have fun while doing it! 💙

Dolly Parton has shown us just how powerful giving can be, especially through her incredible commitment to children and literacy. At Gallatin Shalom Zone, literacy is at the heart of so much of what we do, helping our students grow their confidence, discover new stories and dream bigger with every page they turn. ✨

☀️ Summer may officially be over, but we couldn’t welcome fall without sharing a few favorite moments from Summer 2026!

The past few months at Shalom Zone were filled with learning, laughter, friendship, leadership, creativity, service, and so many opportunities to grow. From Summer Enrichment Camp and Urban Leadership Experience to Coding & Robotics Camp, Street Feed, ESL Classes, Community Saturday Back-to-School Bash, and so much more, it was a season full of connection and community!

We’re incredibly grateful for our campers, ULE youth, counselors, volunteers, community partners, and staff who made these months so meaningful. What a gift it was to grow, learn, serve, and have fun together! ✌️❤️

This month, the Sumner County Collaborative was honored to spotlight Lorraine Looney with the Sumner County Special Needs Collaborative!

Lorraine shared with us about the many ways our community can support, include, and create opportunities for our friends with disabilities and our friends of all abilities.

We were especially grateful to see so many of our nonprofit friends, community partners, and leaders join us on Zoom to learn, listen, and connect. This is the beauty of the Sumner County Collaborative. Bringing people together, sharing resources, and working collectively to make Sumner County a stronger, more inclusive community. 💙

Our 2nd Annual After School Open House was such a special night! 💛

We loved welcoming our families in and giving them a look at all the learning, creativity, and fun that fills our After School Enrichment program each day. From STEM challenges and math games to literacy activities and meeting some of our amazing community partners, our students got to share a little piece of their After School experience with the people who support them most!

Lisa is so much more than our Operations Manager, she is a steady presence, a familiar face, and someone who pours so much care into the people and the work that make Shalom Zone what it is.

For 11 years, Lisa has shown up, worked hard, cared deeply, and helped keep so many moving pieces together behind the scenes. Her dedication, wisdom, and heart have made a lasting impact on our organization and the families we serve.

🧘‍♀️💛 We LOVE our partnership with Small World Yoga!

Our kids look forward to their time with Ms. Kali Wheeler each week, and we’re so grateful for the joy, care, and positive energy she brings to every session. 🌿✨

Through yoga, our students are learning to stretch their bodies, calm their minds, slow down, and simply take a moment to breathe, all while having fun!

Thank you, Small World Yoga, for creating a space where our kids can move, breathe, reset, and grow. 💛
