Leadership Sumner proudly celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026 with an evening centered around leadership, community, and the relationships built throughout the year.

This year’s graduating class represented a wide range of industries, backgrounds, and experiences, but throughout the program, they shared one common goal: a desire to better understand and serve Sumner County. Over the course of the year, the class explored the many systems, organizations, and leaders that shape our community while building lasting connections with one another.
Graduation served as both a celebration of that journey and a reminder of the important role leadership continues to play across our region.

A special thank you goes to Brandon Webster of Exit Prime Realty for sponsoring this year’s graduation dinner and helping make the evening possible. Their support of Leadership Sumner and investment in local leadership development is deeply appreciated.
Guests also enjoyed a wonderful dinner that helped create a warm and celebratory atmosphere for alumni, graduates, board members, and community leaders gathered for the occasion.
Most importantly, the evening reflected what Leadership Sumner has always been about: bringing people together to better understand the community they serve and empowering leaders to make a lasting impact across Sumner County.

A heartfelt thank-you goes to Kathryn Good and Good Circle Marketing for delivering such an inspiring keynote address at graduation. Kathryn’s message about leadership, connection, and showing up with purpose was a fitting reminder of what Leadership Sumner is all about.

Congratulations again to the Leadership Sumner Class of 2026. We look forward to seeing how this class continues to lead, serve, and strengthen our community in the years ahead.

We had an incredible time at Leadership Sumner Law Day! ⚖️

Our group spent the day at the Sumner County Courthouse gaining a behind the scenes look at how our local justice system operates. From an overview of the court system provided by Judge Dee Gay and an overview of Juvenile Court from Judge Howard, to observing General Sessions court in action, we learned firsthand about the many roles that keep our courts running smoothly. A special ‘Thank You’ to Judge Jennifer Nichols and Rhonda Martin for guiding us around all day!

We toured the Sumner County Jail and had breakfast provided by the staff. We heard a powerful panel discussion including 3 current inmates who are participating in many recovery and life programs. We enjoyed lunch with local law enforcement leaders from across the county sponsored by Cobb Law. The afternoon included insights from the District Attorney General and Public Defender, along with a meaningful testimony from recent graduates of Recovery Court. We even had the opportunity to meet members of the Sumner County Drug Task Force including a very special K-9 guest!

Thank you to all the judges, law enforcement officers, and community leaders who shared their time and expertise. It was an informative and eye-opening day that gave us a deeper appreciation for the people and processes dedicated to serving and protecting our community.

There‘s no better time to learn about Nonprofits in Sumner County than during the holiday season! Leadership Sumner’s December day trip focused on highlighting the great organizations that do so much to give back to our communities. We started our morning at Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center, Hendersonville where we listened to speakers from Monthaven, Grace Place Ministry, The Care Cabinet, IGY6, JSL of Hendersonville, and Stay Warm Shelter. Our class members collected items to donate to the Care Cabinet which supports children in our local schools. Throughout the day, we had stops at Foster Families Assistance Network, Peyton’s Place at Seven Rays Ranch, and Hands of Hope Food Pantry - Portland, TN and even participated in some service projects along the way! We ended our day at the new White House Recreation Center with speakers from The Manna Foundation and The Hope Center - White House. If you are considering giving back this holiday season, Sumner County has some great organizations that would love your support!
