Gallatin Rotary Club - noon

Gallatin Rotary Club - noon Gallatin Rotary Club meets at Noon on Thursdays at The Gathering Place. Will R. Manier of the Nashville Club presented our charter to the club.

The Gallatin Rotary Club was organized December 6, 1923 and admitted to Rotary International on December 21, 1923 with club number 1583. He was at that time a member of Rotary International's Board of Directors and was later president of R I in 1936-37. The following year the Gallatin Club won a prize gavel at the Inter-City meeting in Nashville. 100% of the Rotarians and their wives attended the

presentation. The club chartered a private car on the Nashville-Gallatin Interurban line, and carried along their own band.

Rotary International's monthly theme is Membership & New Club Development.

Gallatin Rotary is always looking for passionate new members to help us with our work here at home and around the world through RI.

Membership is open to all who live or work in Gallatin and we'd love to chat with you if you think becoming a Rotarian is a valuable use of your community time!

Dang fine way to kickstart the 2026-2027 Rotary year, if we do say so ourselves!

On Thursday July 8 we had a lot of celebrating to do!
• First meeting for President Daisy Casey!
• The announcement that Meredith Woodard would be returning to the club!
• Now Past President Ryan Baker was able to present Sonya Manfred with the 2025-2026 Rising Star award!
• Treasurer Michael Wertenberger recognized Mark Kimbell for the astounding Paul Harris Fellowship +7 level!
• Michael additionally got to present his own appreciation awards to Janet Rambo and President Daisy!
• President Elect Neil Burgess inducted Vickie Templeton as our next member and The World’s Newest Rotarian!
• And then finally we saved some time for our own Rotarian Lauren Smith to share the impact and focus of community health and the work she does at HOPE Family Health here in Sumner County!

Y’all… it was a lot but it sure was “A Great Day To Be A Rotarian!” HAPPY NEW YEAR!
