📚✏️📓 Back-to-school season is here in the United States! New backpacks are being packed, school supplies are filling kitchen counters, and families are getting ready for a new routine.

However, amidst the hustle and bustle of a new American school year, we are already preparing for the new school year in Haiti, which begins in October.

Every school year, KORE provides fresh, locally produced eggs for students' breakfast each school day. 💛🥚

For many children, that egg provides important protein and helps them stay focused in the classroom. It also creates consistent demand for eggs raised by Haitian farmers.

As you prepare for the school year ahead, would you consider helping a student in Haiti prepare for theirs? A gift of $12 a month provides one child with an egg each school day while supporting the local farmers who produce it.

The children at Bearer of Hope Orphanage recently shared a meal made with chickens provided through KORE. 🐔🍗

Our National Director, Christian, represented KORE at the Haiti Food Systems Alliance General Assembly this week, where he had the opportunity to speak with leaders working across Haiti’s agricultural and food sectors.

Gatherings like this give organizations space to share what they are learning, strengthen partnerships, and discuss practical ways to support local food production. We are grateful that KORE could take part in the conversation and bring the experience of the farmers and communities we serve to the table.

Did you know that aside from providing resources to local farmers, KORE also supports local church plants in Haiti? These churches are places where families gather, prayers are lifted, worship fills the room, and people find encouragement through life's challenges.

Every day in Haiti, parents wake up determined to provide for their families.

They are willing to do whatever it takes to invest in their future.

However, what many families lack is access to the resources and opportunities needed to move forward.

At KORE Foundation, we've seen what happens when families are given the tools they need.

When given the proper resources, families can grow food, which generates income and builds sustainable futures.

But today, we face a challenge.

More families are ready to participate in KORE programs than our current funding allows us to serve.

These are not families looking for a handout, but rather an opportunity. They are farmers ready to plant and provide for their children.... Community members eager to create lasting change in their community and in Haiti as a whole.

Right now, we have families waiting for access to resources, training, and support that could transform their future.

The only thing standing in the way is funding.
