Tennessee’s first responders need your support!

Senate Bill 1900 is a critical piece of legislation that strengthens penalties for those who assault firefighters, paramedics, and other emergency personnel while they are on duty. Every day, our members respond to unpredictable, high-risk situations to protect the public. They should never have to face violence without strong protections in place.

This bill is about accountability. It is about safety. And it is about making it clear that Tennessee stands with those who serve on the front lines.

We are calling on all members of the General Assembly to take action and pass SB1900/HB2428.

Protecting first responders should not be a partisan issue. It is a public safety priority. When you protect those who respond to emergencies, you are protecting every community across this state.

During opening of the 2026 TPFFA Legislative Conference, several of our locals were recognized for their incredible commitment to supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Because of the dedication and generosity of firefighters across Tennessee, the Tennessee Professional Fire Fighters Association raised an incredible $294,000 for MDA.

This partnership has a long history in the fire service, and it continues today because of the firefighters who step up year after year to make a difference for families affected by neuromuscular diseases.

To every local, every member, and every community that supports these efforts — thank you for continuing the fight and carrying on this proud tradition.
