2026 MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
January 20, 2026
Dear Galion Alumni:
A new year, 2026, has arrived and it is time to face new challenges. The Galion Alumni Association continues to transition and look for more opportunities to support the Galion City Schools and its students and alumni. If the Alumni Association is to continue to exist and contribute to the Galion Community, it is imperative that some new people become involved. The Association is currently in need of someone who is willing to accept the position of Treasurer of the organization and we need many others that are willing to contribute in other ways. We humbly seek your support and you are encouraged to offer your suggestions as to what you would like the Association to offer to members and to consider personally participating as a board member. A printable membership form available here. http://www.galionalumni.com/images/Forms/membership%20forma.pdf
Membership in 2025 was at 146 dues paying members, of which 94 are Lifetime Members. Most of our annual members are individuals or couples that maintain their memberships year after year. We would like to encourage those members that are local to participate by attending the monthly meetings and participating in the activities of the Alumni Association. Alumni Association information and activity updates may be found either on the Galion Alumni Association website or Galion Alumni page.

The Galion Alumni Association continues to be a participating member of the Connections Weekend Committee. This Committee is responsible for the production of the Galion Connections Weekend which will be held October 15 - 17, 2026. The Alumni Association plays a large role in the Hall of Fame event and encourages the submission of nominations for Galion High School graduates that deserve recognition. Nominations for the 2026 Hall of Fame inductees are due by June 1, 2026. The Connections Weekend Committee maintains a file of nominations submitted, but not selected from previous years for future consideration.
All of the Connections Weekend events are open to the public and are not restricted strictly to Alumni. We encourage your participation in these events.
The Connections Weekend is intended to serve as a fund raising vehicle to provide funds to assist in finding the means to fund the building of a Performing Arts Center on the Galion City Schools Campus. The planning is in process for providing funding for this large project and The Alumni Association is committed to providing any support possible to help accomplish an acceptable end result. There will be a strong effort to identify other projects that would be of benefit to the Galion City School district and its' students.
You are encouraged to visit the Galion Alumni Association page or the Galion Alumni Association website.
