Big news for businesses in Warren and McKean counties! 🎉

The PA Route 6 Alliance is bringing the PA Route 6 Façade Program back to the region, offering matching grants to help commercial property and business owners improve storefronts, signage, and building exteriors.

Made possible through a $200,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development's Main Street Matters program, with additional support from Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, this initiative will help strengthen downtowns, enhance community character, and support local economic development. The program also keeps investment local by utilizing area contractors, suppliers, and workers.

Today we had the chance to visit with two cyclists who are bikepacking their way across PA Route 6 on their journey to Mansfield, Ohio. 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️

We invited them in to fill their water bottles before getting back on the road. Their next stop is the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum as they continue taking in the scenic beauty of northern Pennsylvania.

No cell phones. No GPS. Just a paper map, a sense of adventure, and the determination to see the country at the pace of a bicycle.

It was great hearing about their journey and wishing them safe travels as they continue westward. Sometimes the best adventures are found along the scenic route.
