The Public Art Commission is dissolving as a group and will become a part of the Galesburg Community Arts Center at 349 E Main St. We will turn off this page in Feb 2022. Please look at their page, Galesburg Community Arts Center. Public art will continue in Galesburg under their umbrella. Thanks for your interest!

The BOX Mural needs a name! We will have a contest for school kids to come up with a name this spring. The winner will get $50 for their classroom and $50 for themself (if that's a word). Thanks to a generous donor for making this possible. The ballot box will be in the Childrens' Room at the Galesburg Public Library during spring break. More details coming!

We are in the Knox College news!

    Just a bit south of the corner of Kellog and Simmons, you can find a colorful mural nearing completion. Every day except Sunday from 8 a.m. until noon, you can find Carla Markwart there with a brush in hand, her clothes and face smudged in bright paint. Markwart is an artist in Galesburg …
