As we reflect on the 2026 Discover Wellness Summit, we are extremely grateful to all of our volunteers, sponsors, attendees, and speakers. We had 385 attendees this year, our biggest event ever! We had great keynote speakers, wonderful breakout speakers, informative wellness tables, and our sponsors showed up in a big way! The health food marketing industry is extremely good at putting words like "natural," "wholesome," and "harvest" on things that are essentially dessert. A quick rule of thumb: if the sugar content is higher than the protein content and the first three ingredients include some form of syrup, it's a treat — not a snack. No shame in treats. Just call them what they are and plan accordingly.

Informal movement — dancing, gardening, stretching during a commercial, walking around while on a phone call — has measurable health benefits and zero barriers to entry. The idea that exercise only counts if it's structured and scheduled is a myth that keeps people sedentary. If your kitchen has enough room to turn around, it has enough room to dance. Bridgeway approves this assignment wholeheartedly.
