The Air We Breathe- A Glimpse Into Galesburg’s Immigrant Community

Opening Reception:
Sunday, September 27th at 2 p.m. The Box, 306 ½ E. Simmons St., Galesburg, Illinois

“The Air We Breathe—A Glimpse Into Galesburg’s Immigrant Community” is a storytelling project made possible by a grant through Illinois Humanities that promotes understanding and awareness through photographs and stories about

the substantial immigrant population that lives and works in Galesburg, Illinois. We will be featuring stories of international community members from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Vietnam, Nicaragua, Congo, Hungary, Colombia, Syria, Togo, Taiwan, Angola, and more. After the opening reception, the exhibit will also be open for viewing at the following locations:

Sept. 27 – Oct. 4:
The Box
306 ½ E. Simmons St., Galesburg

Oct. 6 – Nov. 1:
The Beanhive
124 E. Simmons St., Galesburg
