orking hard over the last year to bring this local organization into a more innovative chapter with a dedicated and diverse committee ready to take on new projects and events as well as expanding or reviving some more sentimental ones. Downtown Community Partnership deeply believes in the potential in our downtown and in the amazing benefits that come from a thriving heart to our city. We believe that by creating engaging opportunities that bring our community together, we can create a new source of great pride for the citizens of Galesburg. Downtown is the place where citizens, business, local nonprofits and community organizations come together to share our lives, our experiences, and our vision for the future of Galesburg. Our mission is to build bridges of collaboration between small businesses, local organizations and residents for inclusive progress, innovation, and community engagement. Our vision is to create a thriving and inclusive cultural district in Downtown Galesburg that benefits small businesses and the local community alike. Thank you to everyone who celebrated Treat Street with us on Saturday. Special thanks to City of Galesburg, IL Government, Knox College, and All-Stars Sports Academy, and to the 60 businesses and organizations who dressed up, decorated, opened their doors, braved the cold, and passed out treats. We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday! Trick-or-Treating will take place from 11am-1pm. You don't need to begin at any certain point, but bags and maps will be available at the intersections of Main & Cherry and Main & Seminary. Families are welcome to bring their own bags. Thank you to all of the businesses and organizations participating! And thank you City of Galesburg, IL Government for assisting with street closures.
