Congratulations to ROWVA Junior & Senior High School music teacher, Mr. Sprinkle, who was recently awarded the ROWVA National Honor Society Teacher of the Year!

Pictures and videos coming soon from this past weekend's collaborative concerts with Nova Singers! Ending our 80th season with such a respected group and such phenomenal concerts was an honor.

A huge thank-you to everyone that attended either concert; to our spring concert sponsor, Blick Art Materials; to G&M Distributors for the donation of reception refreshments; and especially to the talent that prepared GCC members to perform this work: Dr. Tim Pahel. Happy 25th season! And of course, thanks to Dr. Laura Lane for corralling our combined choruses! It was an honor to sing under your baton.

Thank you to all 60+ Galesburg Community Chorus singers and congratulations on two fantastic performances! My personal thanks goes out to the GCC Board members, volunteers, and friends who assisted with the logistics and reception in Galesburg: Linda Hinrichs, Jan Lundeen, Liz Carlin Metz, and Camille Smith. My thanks also to Darla Krejci, Nova Singers Business Manager, it was a delight working together to promote these concerts!

Pastor Pamela Marolla, thank you for sharing your talents with GCC and First Lutheran Church for the performances. GCC is also ever grateful to Pastor Scott Carnes and the wonderful people at First Presbyterian Church for sharing your space for our rehearsals!

And as always, our participation in these concerts is dedicated to Mary Runyon Gibbs, a foundational part of our organization and the musical arts in the Galesburg area.

Come sing with us! If you'd like to be a part of this phenomenal choral group, our first rehearsal of the spring semester is TOMORROW! Monday, January 19th at First Presbyterian Church in Galesburg, from 7-9 p.m.

Please arrive a few minutes early to register, receive your music, and pay fees (only a one-time cost of $15 for adults, all students are free!). No auditions are necessary! This season marks our 80th year, Dr. Pahel's 25th anniversary, plus our first collaboration with Nova Singers. Come and be a part of something historic! 🎶💫
