Doris believed deeply in supporting others especially young people and that spirit lives on through this scholarship.

This month, we “Go Purple” to raise awareness, uplift caregivers, and encourage brain‑healthy habits at every age.

Today we celebrate all mothers, and I want to take a moment to honor a very special one watching over us from heaven, Grandma Born.

She was the kind of woman who would give until she had nothing left, and somehow still found a way to give more. She cared with her whole heart, cooked with love that could fix anything, and created a home where every grandchild felt like the favorite. Her great‑grandkids adore her stories, her spirit, and the legacy she left behind.

Grandma came to everything, every game, every event, every moment that mattered, cheering us on like we were champions long before we ever believed it ourselves. She wasn’t just a grandmother, a steady presence, and a source of unconditional love.

We carry her with us in the way we show up for others, the way we love our families, and the way we give back to our community. Her legacy lives on through this scholarship and through every life she touched.

💛 Happy Mother’s Day in heaven, Grandma. We love you, we miss you, and we feel you with us always.
And to all the mothers out there, thank you for everything you do. Wishing you a beautiful and meaningful day.
