⛺You might think this weekend’s rainy skies and cooler temperatures put a damper on FamJam… but you’d be wrong!

🔥 The bonfires were crackling and the laughter of families filled the air as we made memories, enjoyed old friendships, built new ones, and celebrated the gift of family.

🫶 A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered their time, shared their talents, and made our annual FamJam family campout possible. It takes a wonderful community to bring a weekend like this to life, and we are so grateful for each of you!

As news spreads of the passing of Fr. Dan Atkins, we remember with gratitude his joy, kindness, and encouragement toward the young people of our deanery.
What a blessing he has been to countless young people, whose lives he touched through his friendship and ministry. We give thanks to God for the gift of his priestly service and for the many ways he inspired and encouraged others.

Let us pray for the repose of his soul and for the souls of those who have gone before him:

Eternal rest grant unto him,
O Lord,
and let perpetual light
shine upon him.
May his soul,
and the souls
of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of
God rest in peace.

This past weekend, 17 young people gathered at Mt. St. Francis for Catalyst Catholic's final Confirmation retreat for the class of candidates who will be confirmed by Archbishop Thompson this October.

These young people brought plenty of faith, energy, and openness to the weekend! Together, they represented three parish communities and nine different public and Catholic schools from across the New Albany Deanery.

Please join us in praying for these young people—and all of our Confirmation candidates across the deanery—as they continue preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. May the Holy Spirit strengthen them, guide them, and send them out to live boldly as disciples of Jesus! 🕊️

For many years, the the New Albany deanery has called Mt. St. Francis home for senior retreats! In honor of the retreat center’s anniversary, our neighbors are hosting a fun day to celebrate and reminisce about senior retreats gone by!

Come by to wander the trails, check out the retreat center, attend Mass and more! A special guest speaker and current deanery youth minister, Evan Wise, will be one of the witnesses! A great day for all!
