The HOPE Foundation of Jo Daviess County recently presented a check for $2500.00 to Cats Care to help pay for accessibility features to be added to the River Ridge School playground. The HOPE Foundation provides grants for agencies that serve students with disabilities as well as individuals with disabilities in Jo Daviess County. Grant Applications can be found on the website at hopefoundationjdc.org

Galena School District is one of the many Hope Foundation's grant recipients. We appreciate them sharing the impact we are making in the community!

"To everyone at the HOPE Foundation.

Thank you so very much for the $2500.00 grant for Galena Schools Special Education Department. We purchased so much that directly benefits students and promotes their learning and independence! The students have increased focus when they are able to ROCK in their new chairs and stand when they feel that is helpful. They love the standing desk for that! The students are so motivated to do their best in school when there are motivators they enjoy and care about. The “Teachers Pay Teachers” account we created with our first HOPE Foundation grant is still used weekly, and we continue to add/purchase more resources on a regular basis. This site provided so many great instructional resources to make learning fun and attainable, so it is at every individual’s level.

Thank you more than you know. The kids and teachers appreciate all the student support. The HOPE Foundation is amazing.
