Folks keep visiting this page, although it was "retired" years ago when the final piece of recreation equipment was installed. Perhaps it can serve a purpose beyond being a piece of history.
The playground is in trouble.
If you've visited after a rainfall, you've seen the drainage issue that makes the playground unusable for days (see photos taken 6/7/26). In fact the entire Park is affected by poor drainage. The Harlem Township Trustees are considering filing a Drainage Petition with Delaware County Commissioners. If approved, the County Engineer would come up with a detailed plan and cost estimate to address the issue of inadequate drainage, along with his opinion as to whether benefits outweigh the cost.
If you use the Park...if you love the Park...let the Trustees know what you think, (740) 965-2661, extension 3. We won't have any improvements unless we speak up.
