We are excited to announce a new partnership with Cliffview Church of God that will allow the agency to continue its early childhood education preschool services for local children and families.
Beginning August 1, 2026, RTOV will relocate its Galax-based Early Childhood Education Center from the Rosenwald Felts location to Cliffview Church of God on Fries Road. The move comes as RTOV’s current lease at the Rosenwald Felts facility is not being renewed, with the facility being repurposed for future community use through the Rosenwald Revamped project.
RTOV’s Early Childhood Education programs (Head Start/Mixed Delivery) provide family support and school readiness services to eligible children in the Twin Counties. The new site at Cliffview Church will allow those services to continue without interruption in a safe, accessible environment.
Cliffview Church is providing multiple areas within the annex building for program operations, including classrooms, kitchen space, gym space, and outdoor play areas. These spaces will be used daily to support learning, development, and family engagement.
As part of the agreement, RTOV will be making significant improvements to the facility to ensure it meets all Head Start, licensing, and safety requirements. The agency will invest at least $15,000 initially, with total upgrades expected to exceed $25,000. These improvements include safety system upgrades, playground work, and other building enhancements. Importantly, these upgrades will remain with the church long-term, strengthening the facility for future use and ministry.
