Nimble Fingers Quilters Quilting for Others join us in person!

Our guild tradition is to dedicate an extended October meeting to Quilting for Others (Q4O) projects. Last year, we donated 279 quilts and 581 pillowcases to hospitals, children's wards, shelters, senior care facilities, and more! This year, the Q4O committee will have pillowcase kits and quilt-top kits for members to work on or take home, as well as sandwiched quilts ready for quilting. This is also a great time to return anything you took home to work on over the summer. In addition, this year, the Q4O team is focusing on a simple quilt pattern (Rail Fence) for our charity quilts.

Our first guild meeting after our summer break was with a fantastic teacher, Betsy. She did a great presentation on “Quilting in Sections”! Tackling a large quilt can feel so overwhelming, but breaking down three distinct methods made the process feel doable and approachable. Check out a couple pictures from our Zoom session below!

Betsy Kulamer's quilt wins!
Betsy's "Kaleidoscope" quilt was awarded first prize in the Modern Quilts category at the Atlanta Quilt Festival, which runs until September 5 in South Fulton, GA.
