We, at Nepa Pasa Pucha Amerikaye (NPPA), are deeply saddened by the passing of NPPA Life Member Mrs. Hira Shakya, the beloved spouse of Mr. Ratna K Shakya. She passed away in Maryland, USA, on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the age of 74. She was born on February 17, 1952, in Patan, Nepal.

Mrs. Shakya will be remembered with deep respect and reverence by all who knew her.

Mrs. Shakya is survived by her daughter, son, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, three grandsons, and two granddaughters. She was also a dedicated and active NPPA volunteer for many years.

Our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family for their irreparable loss. Our prayers are with them at this difficult time of grief and pray for the eternal and heavenly peace of the departed soul.
