Please note, applications that do not meet the criteria will be disregarded. Review the eligibility criteria and FAQ before starting on the application. Also all asked for documents and essays are required to consider the application complete. This is a competitive scholarship, so take your time and fill out the application completely and correctly.

Taxes are done and now to focus on Scholarships! So much to do as a parent with a child going off to college for the first time.

Deadline is April 30, review the eligibility to see if your high school senior can qualify for the Upakar Scholarships.

It is a 4 year scholarship award of $10,000 per scholar ($2,500 per year). There is also a Community college scholarship for those that plan to do 2 years at a community college and then graduate from a 4 year program. It is a tuition based scholarship, the funds cannot be used for other purposes and checks are sent directly to the school.

Thank you for making our Saree sale successful today! We sold almost $1500 in sarees, which will go towards college scholarships.

The remaining sarees will be stored for our sale in 2027. Our Saree donation drives will start being advertised in November, so follow us at Upakar Foundation if you are interested in donating at that time.

And remember, the 2026 Upakar Foundation application is currently open and we encourage any eligible high school students to apply. Deadline to apply is April 30.
