UF HealthStreet HealthStreet CHWs provide tailored medical and social referrals and linkage to UF research studies.

HealthStreet is an innovative community engagement program at the University of Florida with a mission to reduce disparities in health research participation by giving everyone a voice. d medical services and opportunities to participate in research that is relevant to them. HealthStreet community health workers (CHW) assess health concerns, conditions, and research perceptions of community members- this occurs where community members live, work, play and pray: including laundromats, libraries, bus stops, community centers, health fairs, senior centers, churches, and more. HealthStreet is located in Gainesville, FL, but reaches people in North Central and North East Florida, including Duval County.

Community care is cool ❤️✨

During our 8th Birthday Bash & Community Day next Saturday, UF HealthStreet's Mobile Health Vehicle will be offering FREE health screenings from 10:00AM – 1:00PM.

Guests can receive no-cost wellness services including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, BMI readings, and more — along with personalized health education from caring community health workers and registered nurses.

As we celebrate eight amazing years together, we’re grateful to create space not just for fun and discovery, but for community wellness, too!
