Before classes started, we got to spend a week in Maras, Peru for the assessment phase of our new project. We are partnered with the local health center, and we gathered important data that we will use for the designs moving forward. It was truly a beautiful experience to connect with the community for the second time this year. Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible! We are excited to move into the design and alternative analysis phases of our project this fall!🇵🇪

For our next lead spotlight, we’re introducing Taylor, our design subteam co-lead!

“My name is Taylor and I’m a fourth-year mechanical engineering major with a focus on solar energy technologies. I am the ‘23-‘24 design team lead and recently traveled to Peru for our most recent assessment trip, where we met with community stakeholders to determine the focus for our next project. I love working hand-in-hand with the people of Maras on projects to improve their infrastructure and access to water and am so grateful to be a part of this wonderful team. A fun fact about me is that I love to rock climb!”
