We’re honored to share about Jennifer, a single foster and adoptive mom who chose to say yes to fostering — despite the fears and challenges that came with doing it alone.
She shared:
“It has been challenging at times, but I will never regret the day I said yes to fostering!”
Jennifer also shared how meaningful consistent support and community have been throughout her journey. At Foster Florida, we believe foster families thrive when they have practical support, encouragement, and people willing to walk alongside them.

That’s why donors matter. This month we've been asking for monthly donors because consistency helps us continue serving foster and adoptive families with tangible care and support when they need it most.

Foster care isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being present. 💙
This Foster Care Awareness Month, we’re reminding people that ordinary families can make an extraordinary impact — especially when they have a village behind them.

This Foster Care Awareness Month, we’re honored to highlight the Philippus family - a family whose YES has changed lives. 💙

After stepping in as kinship caregivers for a baby girl in their family, they later became licensed foster parents, fostered over 8 children, adopted a pre-teen boy, and now raise 5 children ages 8 months to 12 years old.

“Foster Florida has provided support through prayer, tangible items, meals, and connection with other foster and adoptive families. They have given us hope on the hard days and reminded us that our YES matters.”

Families like the Philippus family remind us why building a village matters.

This month, would you consider becoming a monthly donor to help us continue supporting foster families on the frontlines of care? Your support helps provide meals, encouragement, resources, and community all year long. 🧡

Read that again. 💛

If just two families from every church in the U.S. fostered, there would be more than enough homes for children in foster care.

Now, the reality is that foster care is incredibly complex. Children are constantly entering and leaving care. Families open and close their homes for many different reasons. The need is ongoing.

But the truth still remains: everyone can do something.

The Church is called to step up. Maybe that means fostering. Maybe it means supporting the families who do. Bringing a meal. Babysitting. Praying. Giving financially. Showing up.

Because these aren’t just statistics.
These are kids in our towns.
Kids who may sit next to your children at school.
Kids you pass in the grocery store or see at the park.

And they need a village. They need you. 💗

The Browning family knows firsthand that foster care was never meant to be done alone. 💙

What began as a quiet tug on their hearts eventually became a calling to open their home to children in need. Through every late-night call, emotional goodbye, joyful milestone, and hard season, Foster Florida has walked beside them with practical support, encouragement, and community.

“Fostering is hard. It's messy, emotional, and deeply sacrificial—but it's also one of the most meaningful things we've ever done.”

This Foster Care Awareness Month, we’re honoring families like the Brownings who continue saying yes to vulnerable children—and the villages that help carry them along the way.

We are so thankful for a new partnership with Chick-fil-A! 🤍

The Chick-fil-A on Archer Road in Gainesville carefully bags and freezes uneaten food within a certain time period, and we are honored to now be one of the nonprofits receiving those meals to bless foster families in our community.

Because sometimes after appointments, visits, therapies, school pickups, and the unexpected moments that come with foster care… families shouldn’t have to worry about what’s for dinner.

Now the answer can simply be: Chick-fil-A. ❤️

Thank you for helping us care for foster families in such a practical and meaningful way. Your generosity is helping us be the village.
