… this was the theme of the day when a last-minute call for support went out for our car seat check event at the Millhopper library today! 🚗❤️

Friends from GPD, GFR, WellFlorida, JBF, and ACFR showed up and jumped in without hesitation.

Meet Wally the Water Watcher, our newest water safety ambassador!

Wally is helping us spread an important message: when children are in or around water, always designate a Water Watcher whose only job is to actively supervise.

A big thank you to our community partners who help make water safety education fun, engaging, and impactful for families throughout our community.

Keep an eye out for Wally at upcoming events, we can't wait for you to meet him! 🦖🦖

The summer fun continues! This afternoon we are at Lincoln Park for Healthy Afternoons with Gainesville Fire Rescue, Safe Kids North Central Florida, Help Me Grow Florida, Alachua County,
Alachua County Sheriff, PEAK Literacy, UF Health , City of Gainesville, FL - Government and more partners sharing ways to have a safe and engaging summer!

One goal for the year ahead:

The Children’s Trust Board is currently developing its next strategic plan, with a focus on expanding support for children with special needs and their families. Emily looks forward to listening to community voices and collaborating with partners to identify needs and create stronger supports for local families.

Kids need active supervision at all times when in AND around water. When there are multiple adults present, adults can take turns being the designated “water watcher.”
