Dr. Smok and the Gainesville City College vet tech program tried to help this injured black vulture that was actually hanging around the campus. Due to the extent of the injuries found and obvious suffering of the animal, it was humanly euthanized. Students did learn about wildlife rehab and restraint, as well as practicing skills monitoring anesthesia and taking radiographs.
