As we finish our project from these past months, we and fellow volunteers have conversed about this community initiative as we embark on new, future endeavors. It is with heavy hearts to announce that To BEHOLD has officially closed.

Throughout these two years, To BEHOLD has made an important impact on our community. Moreover, this initiative also impacted us and our volunteers greatly. We thank everyone who has lended a hand, donation, or any form of support during this initiative. Whether you came to one or many meetings, you have lifted our dreams of helping underserved communities of Alachua County.

With that being said, we are excited to donate these bags to a local homeless shelter :) there are a mixture of tote bags and zipper bags to help the unhoused population of Gainesville carry their belongings while moving place to place.

With this chapter of our program closing, we hope that you continue to volunteer and help others in any shape or form. The dream for To BEHOLD lives on in each in every one of you!

A special thanks to our community partners as well as our regular volunteers. May our paths cross again soon!

hello everyone! we are excited to introduce our february project: sewing bags for the unhoused community in gainesville! 🪡🧵 similar to our project in august, we will be creating drawstring and zipper bags in hopes of fostering convenience and comfort for this community

we will be meeting from 5-6 pm every wednesday in the alachua county headquarters library makerspace! no sewing knowledge is necessary to attend!

hi everyone! we are excited to introduce our august project: sewing bags for the unhoused population in gainesville! 🪡🧵 we hope that these new, sturdy bags will be comfortable and convenient for carrying a lot of items.

we will still be meeting from 5-6 pm every wednesday in the library makerspace 🧶 be sure to come to the first meeting on 8/6 to get an in-depth tutorial on how to sew!!

we are happy to announce our project for the next couple of months: making waterproof sleeping mats for the homeless! 🩵 we plan on reusing donated plastic bags to make plarn (plastic yarn) to use for crocheting the sleeping mats! this project will give someone a place to rest easier :)

we will continue to meet at the alachua headquarters library on wednesdays from 5-6 pm. hope to see you there!

we are thrilled to announce our february project: designing color books for elementary school students! 🖍️🎨 along with relieving stress, coloring can improve concentration! we will also be accepting any classroom necessity donations (school supplies, tissues, hand sanitizer, etc) to donate to the teachers!

we will be meeting every wednesday at 5pm at the alachua headquarters library in the foundation room.
