Again, thank you to Florida Forest Service - Waccasassa Forestry Center, St. Johns River Water Management District and all the fire services from near and far. A true team effort and it is appreciated.

Remember Smokey The Bear always says "Only you can prevent wildfires".

It goes without saying we are incredibly grateful to the Florida Forest Service - Waccasassa Forestry Center, St. Johns River Water Management District, Florida Department of Environmental Protection and first responders including our friends Windsor Fire Department and Alachua County Forever for working hard to contain this wildfire as it expanded a little too close to our beloved Feast Site.

The Feastmaster was announced on Thursday.

Lynda Reinhart will lead us next year. She has big boots to follow, this year was amazing, but a long time member of the Rotary Clubs of Gainesville Foundation board AND serving on the Executive Board of the Foundation and Site Committee for Hatchet Creek for too many years to count, Lynda has so much knowledge and passion for the work we do, 2027 is going to be fantastic.

Congratulations Lynda. We are looking forward to it.

Today is National Siblings Day.

We celebrate the two siblings in our lives........ the Wild Game Feast and the Seafood Spectacular. Despite the age difference, WGF being the elder of the two, they seem to get on pretty well.

Yesterday the last of our THREE projects from held a ribbon ceremony to officially open the PLAYGROUND at Girls Place, Inc.

Thanks to Foundation friend Ed Book for being our man on the ground with the iphone!

We know girls for years to come will enjoy and benefit from this fabulous new (safe) playground.

We were thrilled to be a part of this project.
