Some lessons stay with you long after the program ends.

For Julia Fletcher, one of those lessons was learning that personal well-being deserves attention too.

Julia joined Dream on Purpose in 2015 and participated in workshops and experiences that encouraged girls to think about mental health, self-confidence, emotional wellness, and personal development in practical ways.

Her connection to Dream on Purpose did not end when she completed the program. Julia has continued to give back by volunteering her time, mentoring and supporting the next generation of Dreamers. As the face of Dream on Purpose—quite literally the inspiration behind the organization's logo—she represents the lasting impact of investing in young girls and the power of coming full circle to pour back into the community that helped shape her.

Over the years, those lessons continued influencing both her personal and professional life.

She graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in public health, became certified as a Domestic Violence Advocate, worked at Walt Disney World, and now helps individuals access healthcare and support services through her role with the Department of Health.

Her story reflects the importance of mentorship spaces that support the whole person, not only academic success or career preparation.

When girls are encouraged to care for themselves, strengthen their voice, and build healthy foundations early, they often carry those habits into adulthood and into the communities they serve.

We are proud to celebrate Julia and the thoughtful, service-centered life she continues building.

There’s a certain kind of girl who always says “I’m fine” even when she’s exhausted.

Julia Fletcher understands that girl deeply.

One of the biggest things she carried from Dream on Purpose wasn’t just leadership training or workshop notes.
It was learning that self-care is not selfish.

Mental health deserves attention.
Real confidence develops away from the spotlight.
And becoming healthier emotionally matters just as much as reaching goals.

Since joining Dream on Purpose in 2015, Julia has continued building a life rooted in care and service.

She earned her Public Health degree from the University of Florida.
Become certified as a Domestic Violence Advocate.
Worked as an Attractions Cast Member at Walt Disney World.
And now helps connect individuals with healthcare and support services through her work with the Department of Health.

Different chapters.
Same heart for people.
What stays with you most is realizing those early lessons never really left her.

You can see it in the way she serves others.
In the way she carries herself.
In the work she chose to dedicate her life to.
Not every transformation is loud.
Sometimes it looks like learning how to care for yourself while still showing up for others.

Tag a girl who gives so much to everyone around her and deserves that same care back.💜

The hardest thing about teaching a young girl isn’t how to speak.

It’s getting her to believe that what she has to say actually matters.

That is exactly why outside voices matter in our schools. On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, Williams Elementary School opened its doors to Shareen Baptiste, our Co-Founder and President for a dedicated guest presentation on self-expression and personal branding.

This wasn’t a standard school assembly.

Faculty members Ms. Norman and Ms. Jackson saw a specific need for their girls and reached out to bring our leadership into their space.

The focus? Identity. Boundary settings. The quiet authority of self-respect.

You didn’t know your voice could fill a room like that.
You walked in, unsure of your impact.
You left knowing exactly who you are.

The standard has been set. The next move is entirely yours.

As parents and family members, we constantly worry about whether our girls are developing the internal armor they need to face the world with confidence.

That armor is exactly what was being built at Williams Elementary School on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The school hosted an impactful personal development session, inviting Shareen Baptiste, our Co-Founder and President to serve as the guest speaker for their young girls.

This intentional afternoon, coordinated by Ms. Norman and Ms. Jackson, provided the students with practical tools to express their ideas clearly, set personal boundaries, and carry themselves with pride. It was a beautiful reminder that our girls don't have to wait until high school or college to discover their leadership potential; it starts right now in our elementary classrooms.

Thank you to the dedicated faculty at Williams Elementary for inviting us to contribute to this vital milestone.

Here’s a little reminder for the girl who’s wondering if all her hard work will pay off.

It will.

Maybe not all at once, but one opportunity at a time.

Today, we’re celebrating Abby, who was accepted into the University of Florida’s Media Production, Management, and Technology program. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, she also started a new position as an Event Productions Student Assistant at the University of Florida Reitz Union, gaining hands on experience while pursuing the education that will shape her future.

That’s what growth looks like. Learning in the classroom. Learning through experience. Becoming more confident with every step.

Abby, congratulations. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes you, and we’re so grateful to be cheering you on along the way.

Some milestones deserve more than simple congratulations.

Today, we're celebrating two exciting achievements for our team member, Bassett.

She has been accepted into the University of Florida's Media Production, Management, and Technology program and has also started a new role as an Event Productions Student Assistant at the University of Florida Reitz Union. It's inspiring to see her education and professional experience growing together.

Moments like these remind us that learning creates opportunities, and those opportunities often lead to even greater possibilities.

We're incredibly proud of Abby for embracing this next chapter with courage, commitment, and purpose. We know she'll continue making an impact both in the classroom and through the work she does every day.

Congratulations, Abby. Your Dream On Purpose family is celebrating with you.

Help us fill the comments with words of encouragement for Abby.

Parents, this one’s for you.

As a new school year begins, your morning drop-offs, words of encouragement, and small reminders all whisper one thing to your teen; you believe in her.

That belief builds confidence, fuels courage, and reminds her she’s capable of more than she knows.
Back to school isn’t just about new books or schedules, it’s about showing up, supporting her journey, and reminding her that she’s not alone.

So as the school year unfolds, make sure you keep speaking life into her dreams, because she’s listening.

Parents, what’s your go-to back-to-school ritual that shows your teen you’ve got her back? Share it below and let’s inspire one another this school year!

Some of the biggest decisions our children will ever make begin with a simple question.

What comes after high school?

For many families, that question can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time. The good news is that no one must navigate the journey alone.

Cupcakes & Conversations: College Discoveries creates a welcoming space where young people and their families can meet college representatives, connect with community resources, hear directly from current college students, and learn more about admissions, scholarships, financial aid, and the support available to help them succeed.

Attendees will also hear practical guidance from subject matter experts, discover resources that make college planning less overwhelming, and receive college preparation giveaways they can use long after the event ends.

These conversations build confidence. They help students see new possibilities and remind families that the path to college doesn't have to feel uncertain.

Join us on August 29 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Santa Fe College, Charles L. Blount Center, 530 W University Ave., Gainesville, FL 32601.

Register today at dreamonpurpose.org/events and invite another family who would benefit from this experience.
