Teachers, Let your voice be HEARD and your presence be FELT!!!!!!
ACEA proposed an $11.48 million salary package (including several suggestions for how to better use the 1 Mill to offset that much bigger ask)--that would cover a 6% raise for all as well as a step increase for all ESP’s and Teachers (a 6% increase for all covers the TSIA $3,000 recipients and then gives them a little more–this prevents that group of teachers from being carved out and also prevents excluding 1 Mill/other funded teachers), 1 day paid bereavement leave, VPK instructor degree pay, and $500,000 with which to address supplements and mileage that are missing or need to be increased.
The district responded with a $5 million salary package, claiming that that covers the TSIA teachers who qualify for $3,000 and provides a 4% raise to everyone else. ACEA rejected this, and pointed out that their math was incorrect and that they provided us with different data than they used.
